완주미디어센터는 어떤 곳?
고산면 고산로 70-10에 위치한 완주미디어센터는 2019년 4월 정식 개관하여 현재 미디어공동체완두콩협동조합이 위탁 운영하고 있어요. 누구나 미디어를 배우고, 만들고, 즐기며 소통할 수 있는 열린 공간이랍니다.
센터는 2층 건물로 구성되어 있는데요, 1층에는 사무실과 일반강좌실, 디지털 교육실, 유아놀이방이 있고, 2층에는 45석 규모의 상영관을 비롯해 음향스튜디오, 영상스튜디오, 소상영관, 전문편집실, 개인감상실, 동아리방 등 다양한 미디어 활동을 위한 공간이 마련되어 있습니다.
다양한 미디어 교육 프로그램
완주미디어센터의 가장 큰 자랑은 다양한 미디어 교육 프로그램이에요. 스마트폰 활용법부터 영상 촬영 및 편집, 숏폼 콘텐츠 제작까지 실생활에 유용한 기초 과정부터 미디어 전문가 양성 과정까지 폭넓은 교육을 제공하고 있습니다.
특히 '찾아가는 미디어교육'은 센터 방문이 어려운 주민들을 위해 각 읍면 문화시설로 직접 찾아가는 프로그램인데요. 2024년에는 동상생활문화센터에서 '내 손안의 단짝! 스마트폰 활용 교육', 이서문화의집에서 '성인대상 숏폼 제작 교육' 등 다양한 교육이 진행되고 있어요.
시골극장 콩씨네, 마을로 찾아가는 영화관
완주미디어센터의 또 다른 인기 프로그램은 바로 '시골극장 콩씨네'예요. 매주 정기적으로 영화를 상영하는데, 2025년 4월에도 매주 토요일 오후 2시와 4월 29일 화요일 저녁 7시에 다양한 영화가 상영될 예정이랍니다.
또한 '마을극장' 서비스도 운영하고 있는데, 5명 이상만 모이면 원하는 장소로 상영 장비를 들고 찾아가 영화를 상영해주는 서비스예요. 접근성을 높이고 문화 혜택의 사각지대를 없애기 위한 노력이죠.
매년 농한기에는 '완주농한기영화제'도 개최한답니다. 이 영화제는 농민과 주민들에게 독립영화를 소개하는 특별 프로그램으로, 고된 농사일을 뜻깊게 마무리할 수 있는 문화 행사예요.
마을공동체미디어 활성화
완주미디어센터는 지역 주민들의 미디어 창작 활동도 적극 지원하고 있어요. 3인 이상의 소모임이나 동아리, 공공 목적의 활동을 하는 단체를 대상으로 미디어 제작 공간과 장비 사용을 지원하고 있답니다.
2023년에는 '전라북도 마을공동체미디어 활성화 지원 사업'을 통해 고산면 화정마을의 '화정마을 할머니 사진기록단', 동상면 밤티마을의 '밤티널TV 뉴스', '마을신문 삼례사람들', 라디오공동체 '라공' 등 다양한 마을 미디어 활동을 지원했어요.
이러한 노력으로 완주미디어센터는 전북 마을공동체 미디어에서 2022년 대상, 2024년 장려상을 수상하는 성과를 거두었답니다.

완주미디어센터는 월요일부터 토요일까지 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지 운영되며, 점심시간(12시~13시)에는 잠시 문을 닫아요. 일요일과 법정공휴일, 근로자의 날은 휴관입니다.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to Wanju Media Center, a hidden cultural space in Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do. Located within Gosan Miso Market, this place has established itself as a cultural community center for local residents, beyond just being a media education facility.
What is Wanju Media Center?
Located at 70-10 Gosan-ro, Gosan-myeon, Wanju Media Center officially opened in April 2019 and is currently operated by the Media Community Wandukong Cooperative. It's an open space where anyone can learn, create, enjoy, and communicate through media.
The center is a two-story building. The first floor houses offices, general lecture rooms, digital education rooms, and a children's playroom. The second floor features a 45-seat screening room, sound studio, video studio, small screening room, professional editing room, private viewing room, and club rooms for various media activities.
Various Media Education Programs
The pride of Wanju Media Center is its diverse media education programs. From smartphone usage to video filming and editing, short-form content creation, they provide a wide range of education from basic courses useful in everyday life to courses for training media professionals.
In particular, "Visiting Media Education" is a program that directly visits cultural facilities in each township for residents who have difficulty visiting the center. In 2024, various education programs are being conducted, such as "My Pocket Buddy! Smartphone Utilization Education" at Dongsang Living Culture Center and "Short-form Production Education for Adults" at Iseo Culture House.
Country Theater Kongsine, Cinema Coming to Villages
Another popular program at Wanju Media Center is "Country Theater Kongsine." They regularly screen movies every week, and in April 2025, various films are scheduled to be screened every Saturday at 2 PM and on Tuesday, April 29 at 7 PM.
They also operate a "Village Theater" service, where they bring screening equipment to any desired location if at least five people gather. This is an effort to increase accessibility and eliminate blind spots in cultural benefits.
Every year during the agricultural off-season, they also hold the "Wanju Agricultural Off-season Film Festival." This festival is a special program that introduces independent films to farmers and residents, a cultural event that can meaningfully conclude the hard farming work.
Activation of Village Community Media
Wanju Media Center actively supports media creation activities of local residents. They support media production spaces and equipment usage for small groups or clubs of three or more people, and organizations engaged in activities for public purposes.
In 2023, through the "Jeollabuk-do Village Community Media Activation Support Project," they supported various village media activities such as "Hwajeong Village Grandmother's Photo Recording Group" in Gosan-myeon, "Bamtinel TV News" in Dongsang-myeon, "Village Newspaper Samrye People," and radio community "Ragong."
With these efforts, Wanju Media Center achieved the result of winning the grand prize in 2022 and the encouragement prize in 2024 at the Jeonbuk Village Community Media.
Usage Guide
Wanju Media Center is open from Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and closes briefly during lunch time (12 PM to 1 PM). It is closed on Sundays, legal holidays, and Labor Day.
